We live in a time of instant coffee, instant results, and instant access.
Where waiting an extra minute or two becomes almost agonising. Speed it praised and patience feels like an inconvenience.
Yet, if you were to ask a true coffee lover, one who appreciates the craft behind making coffee, and can identify the difference between a rushed cup and a carefully curated one, they would hardly ever choose the instant espresso.
Because beneath the layer of foam, and beneath the patience, lies a rich, intense brew capable of satisfying the acquired taste of the one willing to wait for it.
And knowledge is the same.
Yes, aḥādīth may be easily accessible, Qur’an translation and Tafsīr a click away, but it is a question of how deep we are willing to dive for the dīn we claim to seek.
